The craze of K-Drama and K-Pop has increased the global fan following for Korean content and their stars as well. BTS and Blackpink are the Pop-groups which are known to everywhere.”

Korean stars and their Idols have won the hearts of many. If you’re someone who’s new to the craze and don’t really know what’s making everyone make hearts with their thumb and forefinger you should definitely give K-Drama a try.

The 2016 Korean series with Train to Bhusan’s Gong Yoo as the lead in the title role of Goblin Kim Shin. Kim Go-eun as Ji Eun Tak the modern day Cinderella whose faith is intertwined with the Goblin through inexplicable ways. Now add a handsome and mysterious drama addict Lee Dong-wook as Grim Reaper and Yoo In-na as Sunny, a chicken shop owner. Now your fantasy, thriller drama is ready for you. The drama also has high ratings and is still a hit amongst the viewers. If you’re someone looking for something different and interested in the fantasy world, this drama can be a great way to enter the world of K-Dramas.

2. What’s wrong with secretary Kim

This drama stars Park Min-Young as an ace secretary Kim Mi So along with Park Seo-joon as her narcissist boss Lee Young-joon. This 2018 drama revolves around the story of a secretary who’s desperate to leave her job while her boss goes all lengths to prevent it. What happens in the process is a chaotic romance like a rollercoaster ride. The chemistry of the leads along with the supporting cast and with equally interesting storylines will make you root for each one of them. The drama will make you laugh at the quirks of each character and their stories will definitely stay with you.

3. Touch Your Heart

Touch your heart is the story of heartfelt romance of 2019. Oh Jin-shim played by Yoo In-na is a famous actress facing hard days due to a scandal, to get a job in an upcoming drama she has to work in a law firm as a secretary of our nerdy perfectionist lawyer Kwang Jung-rook played by Lee Dong-wook. The two belong to totally different worlds and when they collide there’s a definite spark. Frustrated at her cluelessness initially the lawyer gets to know other sides of her and she on the other hand finds more to his cold unapproachable exterior. As the story proceeds their awkward romance blooms to Touch Your Heart.

4. Descendants of the Sun

Ever wonder what it must be dating a soldier? Descendants of the Sun is something for you. 2016 drama starring Song Joong-ki as Yoo Shi-jin a soldier of South Korea, Song Hye-kyo as Dr. Kang Mo-yeon. Alongside, Kim Ji-won as Yoon Myeong‑Joo as military doctor and Jin Goo as Seo Dae‑young a junior of Yoo Shi-jin. Their love for work and each other keeps them going back and forth. This not your regular romance. Here work, responsibilities and duty comes before love. It’s not an easy story but must watch due to the sense of balance in the narration. While doing justice to the difficult situations the light-hearted moments make the characters look natural and relatable.

5. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon/ Strong girl Bong-soon

Are you the one who’s tired of girls being portrayed as helpless damsels in distress? Do you think that it’s time for girls to be the night in shiny armour? Well here’s a K-drama for you. As the name suggests it’s the story of Strong Woman Do Bong-soon played by Park Bo-young. She is literally strong and has herculin strength which comes through a legend. It’s a story of her adventures along with her boss An Min‑Hyuk played by Park Hyung‑sik and best friend In Kook-do played by Ji Soo. The series has many moments which will make you yell ‘You go girl!!!’. She is anything but weak and that’s really cool you see. Just watch Strong Woman Do Bong-soon and enjoy the time of ‘Girl Power’.

6. Her Private Life

The craze for K-pop and their Idols is making fans go crazy but what is the life of such a loyal, committed fan? Her private life focuses on Sung Deok-mi who is a gallery curator during office hours and a dedicated fangirl outside that professional place played by Park Min-young. Kim Jae-wook plays Ryan Gold, a painter struggling to regain control over his talent now, add Deok-Mi’s Idol oppa Cha Shi an played by the rapper One. It’s a story filled with love and discovery. Her craze for the idol and her perfection at work makes her life crazy and your viewing experience fun.

7. Crash Landing On You

Sure you must have seen articles about this one in your Facebook field or stories of your friends going crazy over the lead couple’s dating confession. A paragliding mishap makes Yoon Se-ri a South Korean heiress played by Son Ye-Jin drop in North Korea where Ri Jung Hyuk, a North Korean soldier played by Hyun Bin, decides to help her. Their challenges and love story of the two from rival nations makes it interesting to watch. Also the leads are dating in real life should win your brownie points considering their chemistry.
