Get ready for the sweet pain of childhood nostalgia with these popular animated series/cartoons.
Remember the good old days when you used to come back home from school, drop your bag off, get ready with a plate of homemade snacks, and sit on the couch to watch your favourite cartoons or animated series?
With no stress about staying in the rat-race, those were the days!
We wish we could get a time-machine and somehow go back in those days, but because that is not possible (for a few years, at least… who knows it happens one day!), let us take five minutes off our busy lives and cartoon down the memory lane with these 7 shows:
- Make Way for Noddy:
If Big Ears and Toyland ring a bell, and you see a yellow coloured car when you blink your eyes, you know what we mean. This super cute and colourful cartoon had won all our hearts with its characters and episodes. It made kids believe in wonderful things like getting colours from a rainbow and colouring lives. If that’s not optimism, we don’t know what is!
2. Bob the Builder:
This building contractor and his speaking vehicles had won all our hearts. The show taught us about conflict resolution and other social skills and was an instant hit. If you have somehow forgotten the names of Bob’s team, then sing this theme song aloud and get a quick ‘fix’! (You are a star if you got the pun here. If not, check out the theme song!)
3. Oswald:
This show on a speaking, humanized Octopus and his other friends like Henry, Weenie, and Daisy, was all about friendship and optimism. If you have not watched this show, then check out this episode on a Big Banana that Oswald grows.
4. Pingu:
This claymation series revolves around a family of Emperor penguins and their friends living in Antarctica. They live like humans and speak in ‘Penguinese’, an invented Penguin language. If you think that nothing can be cuter than penguins, then check out these penguins as they go to school, bake cakes, and iron their clothes, because penguins doing their chores are cuter than anything you can imagine!
5. Kipper the Dog:
If you are scared of dogs but also want to pet them, then check out this show. This super cute and friendly ‘dog with a slipper’ will make your fear go away instantly!
6. The Flintstones:
This show based in the Stone Age is the perfect mix of old and new. Meet dinosaur pets and woolly mammoths, and marvel at the ‘prehistoric’ technology as you notice the characters drive their cars or watch their TV. We understand how this statement might confuse you. Watch this episode to understand us better. (Wait, no one can actually understand this. Just watch the show and have a great time).
Yabba Dabba Doo!
7. Powerpuff Girls:
Watching these three Lil’ superheroes, saving their city will make your day. This show has the greatest villains of all times and as Blossom. Bubbles, and Buttercup, fight these, you will be proud of your girl power!
Also, if you have any theories on the ‘Chemical X’, let us know. We need more!
We hope you liked the collection we made for you. Which show among these was your favourite? Let us know in the comments section below, and we can chat about our favourite characters or episodes!
