Until one day, her spark lights up and she treads on a journey of being a stand-up comedian and coping with her relationship with her husband meanwhile. From the comfortable luxuries of New York to the nightclubs and street cafes, Mrs. Maisel rocks the shows and makes it to the top by identifying herself as not just someone’s wife or mother, but as a comedian. This is staged in the late 1950s and that’s why this show is an inspiration.
Killing Eve -
An intense yet satisfying show, Killing Eve is about two women, Eve and Villanelle. Eve is recruited by an intelligence agency to kill Villanelle, they both have hated each other — obviously different sides! But the plot turns intense when they start admiring each other and getting intimidated. Worth watching!
The Handmaid’s Tale -
Handmaid’s Tale is written about life in the dystopia of Gilead — a Totalitarian society The place is ruled by strict regulations that suppress women and treat them as properties and tools to give birth and increase the population and nothing. It’s about women empowering themselves and dealing with environmental disasters and a drastic fall in the birth rate.
