Here’s to the Importance of a Healthy Diet and what you should cut out!

We all know about the importance of a healthy diet, but we tend to forget it as soon as some hazardously tasty junk food comes our way. It is time we say no and focus on our health.

Before we start with this blog, there is one thing I want to say — do not eat healthy to lose weight and look good (you are beautiful already); eat healthy for a better and healthy life!

There is no other way of saying this that a healthy diet is the key to a healthy life. While working out, staying hydrated, and sleeping well every night is as important as a healthy diet, personally, I will choose diet over anything else, if we have to prioritize and choose among these. Think of it this way — all the nutrients your body needs, comes through the food you eat. Those vitamins, proteins, minerals, fats, carbohydrates, and fibers, everything that is required for the proper functioning of the body, comes through food — from the sodium and potassium required by the nerves, to the iron and calcium required by your red blood cells to transport oxygen to all your body parts — it all comes through food (unless if you have already messed up with your system and are dependent on supplements). Wondering why I forcefully inserted biology and am being repetitive without adding anything more to the paragraph? Because food IS that important. Period.

Having said that, I want to point out the fact that every coin has two sides. Just like all the things our bodies need to come in through the food we eat, everything that is terrible for our bodies also enters our bodies through food. And that is why a healthy diet is important — to save us from diseases like diabetes and untimely deaths due to heart strokes.

The benefits of a healthy diet are not just limited to our physical well-being, but food also affects our mood. Abundance or deficit of a particular nutrient/substance may result in hormonal and enzymatic imbalance, which in turn, might alter our mood and efficiency. Anyway, even if we don’t think in biological terms, haven’t you noticed that eating certain foods makes you feel heavy and give you heartburns, or just make you lazy? In addition to this, a healthy diet can help you with your social skills by keeping your body in your control. Ever burped in a meeting or an interview after gulping down that can of soda and eating your double cheeseburger? No, I am not being funny. It happens with people and leaves a bad impression on their colleagues and employers.

So, take that leap and break up with all your chips, sodas, double cheese pizzas, and cream-filled doughnuts. Limit your red meat consumption and take your meals at designated times. Yes, timing is important too.

I did not write this blog to increase your awareness about a healthy diet — I know you know about it already. We, at Fuzia, believe in taking care of you, and this blog is just a chill reminder to eat healthily. I know you keep forgetting, especially when you have your peri-peri fries and a large chocolate milkshake. Trust me, I forget that too. Therefore, I am going to bookmark this blog so that I can see it every day whenever I open my laptop to check my E-mails. Why don’t you do that too? I know you need it, my friend!

And while we are talking about health and a balanced diet, why don’t you check out this blog on the most common health issues women face? Mind and body go hand in hand. Take care, and stay healthy.
