Top 7 Female Momtrepreneurs Who Made It Big and Started Their Own Businesses!
Women all over the world have constantly been rolling with the punches. As society progresses, women continue to progress with it. But instead of life is made easier for them, almost every year, their roles and responsibilities increase. It was their drive that pushed them to prove to the world that they are no longer only capable of running a household but much more. These women have taken the word multitasking very seriously and gone on to show that they’re more capable than what people assume them to be.
Being a mother is an extremely precious gift bestowed upon women. But having a career is a choice that they make. Society says that a mother should solely focus on the upbringing of their children, but modern women have made us realize, it’s not an either-or situation. Women can do both; take care of their children and run an amazing business.
Here is a list of 7 inspiring Mom Entrepreneurs:
- Paige Lauren-
She is the founder of the brand PAIGELAUREN. Her business idea was formulated in 2008 when she was out buying clothes for her friend’s new born baby. She didn’t have a clear idea of what she wanted to get, but it surely gave rise to a business idea. Paige had no idea about business nor had she ever designed or manufactured clothes. But now she not only has a child of her own, but also an amazing business empire. “Having no experience is not something that should discourage entrepreneurs” says Paige.
2. Kwany Lui-
The co-founder of Bundle Organics. She and her co-founder John Mascari realized the problems many pregnant women face in terms of having a balanced diet. There are so many things a woman has to keep in mind while growing a child. It is important to choose the right nutrients and vitamins. So, they decided to make a line of organic prenatal juices that will help both new and expecting moms with their nutritional needs. “I don’t believe that work/life balance is obtainable. For me, I’d rather be present, more so than balanced. I force myself to become very efficient and focused at whatever I am doing, and I try to ensure my time is aligned with my overarching goals and priorities.”, she says.
3. Astha Chaturvedi-
Astha is the founder of Urban Adventure Outfitters. Her company is one of the fastest-growing sports companies in India. They focus on the sport of wall climbing in India. Astha equates running a company to having a second child. She believes that it was her motherhood that helped her become a good businesswoman.
4. Navdeep Kaur-
The founder of Aagghhoo clothing brand. She got the idea for her company from her child. Her child was extremely sensitive to synthetic clothing, which was why she decided to stick to using fabrics with natural fibers and dyes. Navdeep now designs clothes that are easy on the skin and help children sleep peacefully in them.
5. Jacqueline Smith-
The founder of Kiesque Liquid Palisade. Jacqueline’s problems started when she couldn’t find time to get a manicure-pedicure done by a professional while also taking care of her children. So she came up with an idea to produce original liquid painter’s tape for nails. “Kiesque, pronounced key-esk doesn’t have a specific meaning but the name was created with a few goals in mind. It was to have a distinct uniqueness to it, have no google returns, and not have any translations in a foreign language”, she says.
6. Monisha Narke-
She is the founder of RUR Greenlife. Just like any other mom, Monisha was worried about her daughter’s health. So, she decided to take a step to make sure her daughter is comfortable in her environment. It is a volunteer initiative that educates people and informs them about bio-composters.
7. Michele Welsh-
The founder of the temporary tattoo company SafetyTat. The idea came to her when she found out she was pregnant. Just like any other concerned parent, she wondered what it would be like to lose her child in a large public space. So she came up with the idea of providing the child with a temporary tattoo of important phone numbers.
